kadoosh! oh the injustice i have done to this blog. well, not like anyone's bothered anyway :P i've been bumming around for a good 62 days ever since exams ended! :D but my happy bubble will soon be non-existent as august 18th looms near :( that's the date that my future will be decided ; cardiff or twinning at help. ohmahgawd. okay whatever it is, i shall ignore that for now. if i do meet my offer, i've got 44 days left in malaysia O_O.. that's too fast. :( so.. what have i been doing?

i've been cooking quite a bit. trial run to practice living alone in the UK. decided not to take catered accommodation, so i'll be doing most of the cooking on my own. or i COULD be lazy and eat out/have take out more often. but that's bad ;( and unhealthy. and expensive. i'm asian and i'm kiamsiap. heh :P so here are the nasty non-appetizing pictures! cooking, not so good. but baking for me will be fine i guess :D pretty proud of my red velvet cake! :D:D though i can't survive on confectioneries my whole time there ._. i'd get so fat, nobody would recognize me when i come back for summer hols :( . POOFY FACE. :/

my pathetic one persons meal :( fried.. everything. :P and microwaved rice T.T but it tasted not too bad and it was edible (; didn't suffer from diarrhea so all's good! hah.

my failed 'carbonara' pasta. didn't have enough ingredients so i screwed it up and sauce was too little :( though it tasted not too bad hahahahahaha :X it did become thick and creamy when i heat it up the next day :O *defensive mode* LOL.

but actually, the thing that's been taking up most of my time and attention is actually my newly opened blogshop with hwee ling & seow :D oh crikey, it took me one week to actually blog and advertise about it. by now i'm pretty sure my circle of friends have already visited it, but i'll post it here anyway! hellooo dead space ! a-level's is officially over for me *runs around doing the chicken dance*! all i'm doing right now is bumming around and spending time with the family since my sister who's working abroad is back on holiday till july 9th. she came back to surprise my dad for father's day and celebrate my parent's birthday plus hers :D i've been waking up at 8am every single day to go out and i have yet to sleep in and laze around all day since exams ended for me on june 24th. on a side note, maxine lee surprised the heck out of me by coming back from australia for winter holidays! evil beej lied to me saying she'll be working there :( but teehehehehee! she showed up at my gate to surprise me one afternoon. sneaky little thing, she!

exam results are due to come out on august the 18th, bleaugh. so until then, i'm not going to think about it. tentatively, hopefully i'm to fly off to london on september the 15th. so i've got 74 days left in KL? o_O prom was on the 30th of june at sheration imperial KL, again. (again because i had my high school prom there as well back in 2009 ._. ) i'm not going to get into any details because honestly, i didn't enjoy myself all that much. just don't get me started ;( i spent tons on this prom, which i wish i didn't. the only consolation would be my ever so accommodating, attentive and adorable date. he got me a corsage and a bouquet of roses. cheesy :P not to forget my friends :3 i told myself i wouldn't make the same mistakes i did in 2009 by clinging on to my date and missing out on cam whoring with everyone else, so yeah. pictures! it'll be really hard to keep in touch with everyone after this since they're all either flying off to australia, US, UK, hong kong and basically - around the world.

OOH OOH ! i'm still alive, i'm still alive :D:D exams have been going on for far too long, i've got 18 days left of this D: then i'm free! free as a bird (; whoopie pies for everyoneee! okay i'm lame. super exhausted from this 40 day hell :( anyway, 7 more papers left to go. i've got chem 6 tomorrow and i thought i'll update a quickie post. june's seventeen magazine issue's out ! to be honest, i prefer these pictures more than may's issue. but oh well :D they gave me name credit this time ! an advertorial for dressing paula, a boutique in sunway pyramid :D they've got quite a nice selection of clothes ranging from RM39.90-RM159.90 i think, if i'm not mistakened - if i remember correctly actually. somewhere around that price range :x. you can check out their facebook page or their official website. (; malaysian brands ftw :D ! spent my last 10 day break spending time with the boy, prom dress shopping and stoning away. procrastination, why are you so mean to come be my friend again :((((? finally found a dress though but didn't buy it when i first saw it, so i ended up having to settle for the same design but in a different colour :( boo the lady who bought the dress ahead of me :( . boo you. anyway, back to studying ! so many things to look forward to after the holidays :D WHEEE!

the hardest part of ending, is starting again.

haven't been doing much justice to this space, but i have an excuse! exams have seriously taken over me. with 2 papers down and 11 more to go over the span of 40 days, i'm pretty determined to kick a-levels in the ass and meet my requirements for cardiff :) speaking of which, i've yet to decide and apply for my accommodation. anyway, over the past 2 weeks - i've spent it studying on and off. off being the times for when certain events happened like for instance :

#1 Justin's Surprise 19th

conspired with his buddies ; andrew and nic and not to forget his own family, to surprise him on the 29th of April. got all his friends to chip in for his own acoustic guitar. the takamine ED21c. thank god for the boys, i'd have never been able to drive to kl on my own to collect the cake or lug the guitar around mid valley by myself. had the birthday dinner at tgif @ curve. i deliberately let it slip to him that i'm planning a surprise for him but it's on May 1st and that april 29th was an anniversary dinner. he actually took me seriously and surprised me instead with flowers and balloons coming out from his car trunk. hahaha :D that day was funny. special thanks and shout out to all his friends whom i barely knew but were willing to help me out and plan all this. :3 hope the boy enjoyed all of this and was genuinely surprised ;x LOL. honestly can't lie to him at all :/ covering up was tough -_-..

#2 Last Day of A-Levels @ HELP UC.

we spent our last day cam-whoring. told most of our classmates to dress formally and we just cam-whored our day away. :) i'm gonna miss these guys.

#3 Mother's Day Dinner 2011

this year, the siblings and i decided to give flowers to mumsie, both our grandma's and almost all our aunt's. start a new tradition, haha ;) we had dinner after that at monte's. the food's really good. it's my 3rd time going there but seeing that the price is a little too steep for my wallet, i usually share a plate of cheapo pasta with a friend and we split it in two. now that it's with my parents, decided to go with something more .. expensive :P . the total bill for 5 people came up to RM254 + tax.

#4 Macaron Adventure

despite exams being just 4 days away, the boy and i tried our attempts at making macarons. it was a complete fail due to so many factors. humidity, lack of experience and the use of greaseproof paper instead of baking paper ._. but yesterday after my M1 paper, being my perfectionist self, i tried again. i baked from 4-7pm and literally had to wait for the whole drying and baking process. by the time i was done, it was 12am. stupid malaysian humid weather, it takes about 1-1.5 hours to completely dry. but yes. my 2nd attempt at making macarons, was .. a pass! i wouldn't say they're pretty or anything, but i'm just glad that i didn't fail miserably and that my macaron had pied, feet? :D :D muahahaha.

failed attempt 1 ;( .. really hard and stuck to the greaseproof paper. the 190c temperature in the recipe was also a conjob :x

after analyzing 25 more recipes - more prepared and systematic this time, successful attempt 2! baked at 135c (; spot the pied feet! peanut butter as filling. nyoms ;)

so yeah, i really should be studying for my re-sit S1 paper tomorrow. adios! see you on june 24th ;) where the fun really begins. heee, prom on the 30th of june. can't wait ;3

#2 Wai Yan's Birthday Dinner @ Plan B, Bangsar Village 1

dinner was intimate. a group of about 20, gathered to celebrate her birthday dinner here. the food wasn't all that to die for though. it was a bit on the pricey side for the type of food they served. quite surprised they're supposedly usually packed with lots of people. but then again, different people have different tastes. they're supposed to be really famous for their red velvet cakes though. didn't get a chance to try it out cause everyone was full by the end of the dinner.

the boy's spaghetti aglio olio - it was as bland as it looks.

my pho bo (vietnamese beef noodle) . it was really really salty with MSG i think ://

#3 Seventeen Magazine May Issue

oh fml, they chose .. super asdlkjaslkjasd unflattering pictures of me and didn't give me any name credit, whereas all the other girls in the magazine did. :( sigh. oh well. at least i achieved one thing in my bucket list from this! get featured in a magazine - even though nobody will know it's me -_-" i wonder what i'll look like in june's issue o_O.
